700 Series – QSI powered by Atik Cameras
In two decades, the world of astrophotography has evolved beyond recognition. Today, QSI Imaging is powered by Atik Cameras and features back-illuminated CMOS sensors with native 16-bit digitization, delivering exceptional quantum efficiency of 90% and lightning-fast readout speeds of 120 million pixels per second over USB 3, a performance that was once unimaginable.
Despite these incredible advancements, what remains unchanged is our commitment to integrated design, meticulous attention to detail, and bulletproof reliability.
With the 700 Series, we’ve taken our best technology and refined it for optimal performance. Each camera is equipped with mechanically indexed filter wheels, ensuring the most precise positioning for perfect flat fields.
The fused silica window is dew-resistant and coated on both sides with a high-transmission anti-reflective coating, reducing halos and maximizing image clarity. A window heater is also available to cater for extreme environmental situations. The cameras also feature a highly efficient 2-stage Peltier cooler, drawing less current while providing superior cooling performance compared to other models. They are compatible with wide-format OAGs.
